All annual licenses and stamp privileges are valid from April 1 of the current year through March 31 of the following year. (Example: An annual license from 2018 would be valid from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019). Other licenses are valid only during the season for that animal as established in the Indiana Administrative Code (312 IAC 9).
Resident licenses
Non-resident licenses
A resident is an individual that has established a true fixed and permanent home and primary residence in Indiana for 60 consecutive days prior to purchasing a license or permit and not claim residency for hunting, trapping or fishing in another state or country. All others are nonresidents.
Anyone born after Dec. 31, 1986 must successfully complete a DNR-offered hunter education class to purchase a hunting license. The Hunter Education Number (HED#) must be entered into the license system in order to purchase a hunting license that is not an apprentice version if the person was born after Dec. 31, 1986.
1 Youth consolidated hunt/trap licenses are for residents 17 or younger. All youth hunting licenses are valid for the designated license year, even if the individual turns 18 during that year, but the license must be purchased before the youth turns 18.
2 Indiana residents who are at least 64 years old AND were born after March 31, 1943 need to purchase a senior fishing license to fish in Indiana. Both the Annual Senior Fishing and the Senior Fish-for-Life include the trout/salmon stamp.
3 Indiana residents who were born before April 1, 1943 are exempt from needing a fishing license when fishing in Indiana waters, but are able to purchase a Voluntary Senior Fishing License, which supports fisheries conservation and public access in Indiana.
4 The deer license bundle is one license that includes privileges to harvest two antlerless deer and one antlered deer or three antlerless deer. The deer license bundle cannot be used to satisfy deer reduction zone bag limits. The deer license bundle can be used in the special youth, archery, firearms, muzzleloader and special antlerless seasons.
5 A person must first purchase a Bonus Antlerless Deer License at the rate of $24 (residents) or $150 (non-residents) before purchasing the Second and any Additional Bonus Antlerless Deer Licenses at the reduced rate. No other deer license type counts towards the reduced price for the Second and any Additional Bonus Antlerless Licenses.

Lost licenses and license reprints
Duplicate licenses can be purchased online. The cost of a reprint or duplicated license is $3 for each license purchased at a retailer. You can reprint your license online for free up to five days after you purchased your license.
Non-resident hunting license exemptions
Indiana allows non-resident landowners, including their spouse and children living with them, to hunt on their own farmland in Indiana without a hunting license only if the state in which the person resides allows Indiana residents the same privilege. For Iowa residents that own farmland in Indiana and hunt on their farmland, you do not need a license for small game and furbearers, but are required to have a license to hunt deer and turkey. Ohio residents that own farmland in Indiana and hunt on their farmland are exempt from needing hunting licenses for any species. Virginia residents that own farmland in Indiana and hunt on their farmland are exempt from needing a license to hunt any species. Review other license exemptions.
![]() Non-resident Youth
Non-resident youth 17 or younger must have a valid hunting license when hunting in Indiana. Vertex vx 231 programming software free download. For example, a non-resident youth age 17 or younger must have a valid Non-resident Youth Annual Hunting License or Non-resident Youth 5-Day Hunting license to hunt waterfowl or squirrels in Indiana. Non-resident youth age 17 or younger may hunt, fish, or trap with a resident license if a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian is an Indiana resident. Non-resident youth are exempt from a state migratory waterfowl stamp and gamebird habitat stamp.
All hunters in Washington, regardless of age, must have in their possession a valid hunting license and any required tags, permits, or stamps to hunt wildlife. Youth -- defined as anyone under 16 years of age at the time of license purchase -- are eligible for reduced license fees.
License requirements
There is no minimum or maximum age to be eligible to hunt in Washington, but anyone purchasing a license who was born after Jan. 1, 1972 must show proof that they have completed a hunter education class. A one-time deferral option is available. Members of the Washington National or State Guard may be eligible for a free annual licensing package that includes a big game license and a small game license with a migratory bird permit.
You are required to show a license, tag or permit, or display wildlife taken when asked by a WDFW officer or other enforcement officer. Any hunter may be directed to stop at WDFW check stations and produce wildlife in their possession. You are required to comply with the directions of WDFW personnel related to the collection of sampling data or material from wildlife.

Federal and state law require everyone 15 and older to provide their social security number before purchasing a license, whether buying in person, online, or by phone. Prospective hunters born after Jan. 1, 1972 must also show proof of hunter education training.
